INTO THE PADDED ROOM WITH T.G. REAPER
INTO THE PADDED ROOM WITH VICTOR VON SCARYBleedings and welcome to the Padded Room! Strap on your white coat and hug yourselves while I talk with Mr. Scary.T.G.: Bleedings Victor, and welcome to my little padded room!V.S.: Sure is a lot of blood in here.... most of its not even mine !T.G.: I recently watched “The Horrors of Spider Island” on FRIGHT NIGHT CINEMA, and two things happened. (1) I started craving pizza; and (2) I was seriously entertained. Great stuff! You and Baron Randall Graves seem to really flow well on screen. What’s it like working with him?V.S.: Well, first off, be careful what kind of toppings you get on that pizza, and, secondly, thank you very much for those kind words. I’m really glad it entertained you. As far as working with Graves.... its horrible, sometimes I’d rather stab out my own eyes rather than look at his face! Naaww, jk! Graves helped me start this show and is a real asset. We have been friends for years. It’s because we have been friends so long that we have a good flow going. We hardly ever write down any lines, so most of it is off the cuff.... and just like Frodo wouldn’t have gotten very far without Sam, Victor wouldn’t have gotten very far without Graves. (Also, I’m a nerd.... well, more of a geek really.)T.G.: Have you worked on any shows previous to “Fright Night”?V.S.: I haven’t worked on any other shows besides FRIGHT NIGHT CINEMA, although since I’ve started doing the show I’ve had the honor of working with a lot of the horror hosts. At HorrorHound Weekend last year they did a live hosting event called One Hundred Years of Monster Movies, where we hosted with Wolfman Mac, Marlena Midnite, and Robyn Graves. Recently we hosted again on 100YMM and had over 50 guest hosts send in footage, including Halloween Jack who came out of retirement to help us host! Which was a major honor for me. In our newest episode, we were honored to have Professor M. Balmer come out of retirement (kinda) as well, to co-host the show!T.G.: How long has the show been on?V.S.: The show is in its second year now, but we have a lot of plans for the future! We plan on doing it for many more years.T.G.: A question I ask all my guests: What is your favorite horror movie?V.S.: Although some would consider it a sci-fi movie, I would have to say 1983's “The Thing.” Everybody hates remakes, but if it weren’t for remakes, my favorite movie would never have been made. So “The Thing” is why I always try to give remakes a chance now.T.G.: Any upcoming events?V.S.: We will be at HorrorHound Weekend March 25th-27th and, hopefully, Motor City Nightmares and the Detroit Comic Con later this year.T.G.: Can you tell us about FRIGHT NIGHT CINEMA, including when and whereit’s on?V.S.: Well here at “Fright Night” we play the best old school horror (public domain) films, but we will also start hosting movies that aren’t horror films but are still old school fun, including some Kung fu, sci-fi, and comedy films. We like to think we put the horror in our horror hosting. We are only online right now; we have a live player on our web page playing some of our shows and a link to our YouTube and Facebook pages. www.frightnightcinema.comT.G.: You guys do an awesome job at keeping fun horror undead and well. Thank you for that! And also, thank you for joining me today in the Padded Room!V.S.: A real honor to be here my friend! Thanks a lot for including us. Let us know if you ever need anything from us again.

Inside the Padded Room With TGReaper and Wolf Man Mac
IN THE PADDED ROOM WITH WOLF MAN MAC!Welcome back to the padded room! Sit back, settle in and join me in welcoming the amazing Wolf man Mac!T.G.: Bleedings Wolf man! This is indeed an honor!WM: Fangs alot! I have to admit, at first I didn't like the idea of wearing this straitjacket, but now I'm really digging how easy it is to bounce off the walls! T.G.: Wolf man, please tell us a little bit about yourselfW.M.: I was born at an early age. HOL (howl out loud), I crack myself up! I'm just a cat that lives and breathes all things spooky, can't get enough of it. My house is decorated with what 'normal' people would consider halloween decorations all year 'round. I'm even part owner of a year 'round haunted house called SINister Haunted House and Glow Golf, in Shelby Twp, MI. You can get your haunt fix 365 days a year! I dig rockabilly, retro pin up chicks, rat rods and roller derby. Even my chick is all bats, fangs, and bettie bangs! T.G.: Did you work on anything before the legendary Nightmare Sinema?W.M.: Wow, I don't get asked a whole lot about Nightmare SINema anymore. Kinda regret changing the name of the show sometimes, but needed to in order to appeal to the masses, expand our reach, spread like the plague. I was a rock and roll radio jock for just about 23 years before starting the TV show. T.G.: What’s your favorite horror movie?W.M.: Oh man, I dig 'em all. I'm not one for slasher/torture flicks. I'm more into the classics, cheesy public domain and universal monster movies mostly, but I honestly find it impossible to name just one. I like a good ghost story. I want creatures, aliens, all that jazz. T.G.: The swamp sisters made an awesome video with you. What was it like to be in a music video?W.M.: The Swamp Sister are just one of MANY talented groups that do all the cool horror tunes that I love. I had a great time with it. I wanted to pretend that I was playing the guitar and do some cool guitar playing facial expressions, but it never happened. Maybe next time. T.G.: Tell us about Chiller Drive in!W.M.: Wolfman Mac's Chiller Drive-In is a family friendly, horror hosted TV show that air campy, public domain monster and sci fi movies every Saturday night on the REtro Television Network at 10pm, and pretty soon webstreaming online via www.chillerdrivein.com You'll be able to watch us anytime, anywhere. As horror hosts go, and there are a LOT of great ones out there, ours is more of a situation comedy that takes place around the showing of a movie. Think; Herman Munster meets Tim the tool manTaylor. We even have our own town; Hauntington Heights. There's a zombie deli where you can order a side of 'new york stripper', and a bar we all go to called 'zombie au go go. Pretty cool. We tape our TV show in the belly of the largest haunted house on the planet; Erebus, in Pontiac MI. hauntedpontiac.com, the place is HUGE and so cool. T.G.: Any upcoming events?W.M.: Heck yeah, if you're in Michigan there's gobs of 'em. The first Thursday of every month we host a killer B movie at the main art theater in royal oak. People make fun of the movie, point laser pens, toss beach balls around, it's a riot! Then of course my haunted house is always doing something cool. THIS Saturday I'm hosting a zombie costume contest. T.G.: You have an amazing cast of characters on your show, some of which I have or are going to interview for the padded room. What is it like to work with these guys?W.M.: not only are my cast of characters great, but I've also got a very creative and supportive crew. In total we have about 40 cast and crew. There's a lot of laughter and camaraderie on and off the set. So talented. T.G.: Thanks again Wolf man Mac for joining me here in the padded room!W.M.: Thank YOU! And as we say here in Hauntington Heights, Stay Creepy!!

The Interview with the always amazing Lia Scott Price

- 1. What genre do you write in?Horror, horror, and more horror. Oh, did I mention horror?2. Do you have any books published, and if you do, what are they called? The Guardian, Revenant, and Dominion, A trilogy (Serial Killer and Vampire Guardian Angels TM), Ghostwriter, and Resurrection (Serial Killer novels). You can find the books on myspace.com/liascottprice.3. When did you start writing? After my first divorce. Bad times are good times for writing. :)4. What inspires you to write?Oh, where do I start? Let's put it this way. I'll stop only when the voices tell me to.It's the challenges of life, actually. They inspire creativity. 5. I know you probably get asked this all the time, but where do you get your ideas from?Natural selection. Of the human population.6. What do you enjoy, when your not writing?Natural selection. Of the human population. >:) (oh, and filming, acting, and writing music.)7. This is something I get asked alot, so I enjoy the chance to bug another writer with it: What is your daily writing ritual like?Skip meds. Write. Watch the news. Laugh. Write. Eat. Write. Ignore the shiny objects (they're distracting). Talk to the voices. Write. 8. Do you outline? Why or why not?My method is scribbling on anything that has a blank surface. That includes anyone within reach, although getting them to stand still while I transfer the notes to my computer is tricky. I actually use post-it notes. I write a thought down, and put it together like a jigsaw puzzle later, so each note has to have a title. Sample: Serial killer book 1: idea......it was NOT a dark and stormy night.....and so on.9. How do you feel about the world of publishing today?Self-publishing is it, people. Take control of your destiny! Become your own publisher! Online print-on-demand rocks! 10. Where do you see yourself in five years? In a psychiatric ward, teaching creative writing in between group sessions.Thank you for taking the time to answer my questions. Now I have a few questions that are totally unrelated to writing.1. pepsi or coke?Coke rules.2. classic music or classic rock?Death Metal.3. horror movie or lifetime movie?I'd like to turn the lifetime movies into Horror movies. "Project Runway: Carnage on the Catwalk!, Tonight at 9!" Hot.4. meat eater or vegetarian?I eat vegetarians for breakfast.5. Sci fi or Horror? Both, of course!6. Water ski or Down hill ski?Downhill all the way.7. Christmas or Halloween? Now here' s the thing about Christmas. There's a strange bearded guy in a costume, he's wearing red, and cavorts with cloven-hooved animals.....he punishes the bad (with no presents)....Santa? Satan? Not too far off of a stretch, eh? Think about it. Christmas and Halloween could be one and the same. Just sayin'. I think Jeebus would agree.8. Drink alone or with friends? Now I would love to be a bartender, but the ironic thing is, I don't drink. Now that would be the perfect bartender, wouldn't it? Um, what was the question again?9. Dr. Phil or Dr. Pepper?Dr. Phil would have to start seeing his own shrink if he met me.10. A perfect night: Wine and cheese or Pizza and beer?Cheese pizza with beer-infused garlic crust and wine. Thanks again and keep writing!!
Sorry if this looks clustered, I'm still new at this! Major thanks to Lia for doing the interview. If you havent read her work, or watched her videos, you need to. Look her up on youtube, you'll thank me later!
Sweet nightmares!

The Lost word writers group
Greetings my friends! I wanted to take a minute to give some kudos to a group in very deserving of them. The Lost Word Writers Group. I had a meeting with them last night, and while I was sitting there, I realized how lucky I truly was to be among them. The group is extremely diverse, yet unified at the same time. Let me tell you about the members:
Donrad: A brilliant man who has already done more than most of us could ever dream of doing. He has rubbed elbows with musical celebrities during his time as a band manager in San Francisco. His rants can give Rush Limbaugh a run for his money!
GG Bloodline: Another brilliant writer. Her poetry is nothing short of amazing, and her stories are fresh and vibrant. She is a future bestseller; I have no doubt about it.
Phil Bannister: Wow, this guy will completely blow your mind. His writing is exciting, humorous, and laced in truth. Always quick with a smile, Phil is truly inspirational.
John Shwabe: I’m not sure if I am spelling his name correctly, so forgive me if I am destroying it. John is a poet without equal. His words are awe inspiring, and he will sweep you into his emotionally charged universe.
Dennis Neely: Dennis is one with nature and with history. He has a love for hunting the old ways that you can just feel. His writing is nothing short of incredible, and I always look forward to reading his work and talking to him.
Autumn Rosewood: It has been an honor watching Autumn grow into the written word. She has come so far with her writing, it just makes me proud. She has work in the book Tears of the Phoenix. Do yourself a favor and pick up a copy.
Devlin Giroux: Ladies and gentlemen, this is the writer I want to be someday. Devlin understands what true horror is supposed to read like, and he is a true master of the craft. Watch for him.
Cynthia Parker: Another poet that has improved by leaps and bounds. She has recently published two books of poetry, and she has more work coming soon. Again, I say look out for her. She will amaze you.
John Stark: One of the newer faces in the Lost word world. He has and shares a ton of potential and I look forward to watching him take the world by storm.
I wouldn’t be right if I didn’t add Dave Murray and Pat Wetherbee to the mix. Dave is an amazing artist who happens to be my mentor. Pat is a film maker who got me hooked on rewriting some of my work as screen plays. Again I will say it…look out for these guys!
As a group we have a book on the market and another two in the works. Within These walls is available now both online and at Best Books in Jackson Michigan. Potter’s Field is coming soon. I give you my prediction: This group and its members are going to go far in the written word. Tomorrow’s best selling authors are right here. Check them out!
Sweet nightmares everyone!

book review for fallen from shadow
FALLEN FROMSHADOWby Andrea Dean Van Scoyoc
Let me start by saying this is one of the fastest reviews that I have ever written. Not because I wanted to get it over with, but because I couldn’t tear myself away from the story. When I read the opening passage to the story, I had to send Andrea a message telling her how much that one passage just blew me away. As you know, the opener to a story is probably the most important thing an author writes. It has to hook the reader. This reader was hooked. Sometimes, unfortunately, the story tends to weaken afterwards. That is not the case here. The story just kept getting better.
Farayne is a bored socialite with a free spirit that she decides to answer. Her story and adventure is incredibly well crafted as we follow her exploits in life and love. The story is an epic tale of an ancient vampire and an eternal love that truly needs to be read. Add to that the drama of a woman, living with the guilt of leaving her mother barren, and a control freak father who hated the notion of Farayne being a female. A broken family is something I and many others can relate to, and you can’t help but feel for the character’s pain.
Before I go any further, remember that this is a romance. Even with the creatures of the night involved, there is a tale of true love here. I am not a fan of romance stories, no offense to any romance authors out there; I just can’t get into them. This story, however, was so well written I couldn’t help but love it!
Andrea is a beautiful soul with an unending well of talent. I am honored to know her and thankful for having the opportunity to read her latest book. I consider this a must read, and I give it 5 out of 5 bones!

a truck fell on me book review by tgreaper
A TRUCK FELL ON ME
BY CHARLIE RENNE
BOOK REVIEW BY T.G.Reaper
November 6th was a beautiful, warm day with temps reaching the sixties. The only thing on Charlie's mind was that wonderful day was going home to do some outside chores. He saw the truck coming in the opposite lane and never gave it a second thought. He didn't realize that truck was going to change his life forever.
What happens next is nothing short of miraculous. Charlie's never quit attitude is awe inspiring. You feel like your going through the pain as he describes everything from the accident to the agony of the healing process.
He literally fought his way back from an accident that should have killed him into the man he is today.
A Truck Fell on Me is the inspirational story that has changed my life. It's a great reminder that no matter how bad life gets, with a strong will and never say die attitude, we can overcome life's obstacles.
The book also has several pictures of both the destroyed car and of Charlie as he fought to recover. This is a real pager turner and life changer. I give it 5 out of 5 bones. You need to read this book.
