INTO THE PADDED ROOM WITH T.G.REAPER

Greetings my friends! I am coming to you from the padded room with a book review of the book: THE UNAUTHORIZED AUTOBIOGRAPHY OF ETHAN JACOBS. Written by Dan Dillard.

Do you believe in ghosts? What about the afterlife? Are you truly ready to search for proof? Ethan Jacobs is a computer programmer and amateur ghost hunter who tries everything he can think of to communicate with the dead, keeping his notes in an electronic journal. After a friend talks about a ghostly encounter from her youth at a friendly get together, things start to happen in Ethan’s apartment. It starts with noises and dreams, and escalates into a life and death struggle that challenges Ethan’s faith and his will to live.

Dan is a brilliant author. His characters are believable, the dialogue crisp and the pacing is perfect. This was the first time that I had read this author, and he has made me an official fan of his work. One of the things that really stood out to me was the way he described the settings. He really draws the reader into his world and it’s like sitting in the rooms and watching the things take place. A true genius who is destined to do great things with his writing.

Wednesday and thursday together

Greetings! Time to chime in, combining two days into one for this week. Had the reading down at the Jackson Coffee Co. Earlier, whenever I am around my lost word family, it's like I'm renewed! Talking with Jeremy afterwards, I got my writing back on track again!

Tuesday's story Prompt

You are out partying with friends when one slips something into your drink. The next thing you know, it's the morning and you don't remember anything—though you have a collection of mysterious items surrounding you and you have a new tattoo. Your friend stops by and explains, much to your surprise, what happened.

Reaper Challenge!

Monday's Reaper challenge

Greetings! Time for the reaper challenge. What is that, you say? Easy enough: I give you three words and five minutes. You put two of the words in the first line, and all three of the words should be in the first stanza/paragraph. Five minute time limit, just to keep your inner critic from giving you a hard time. Another Pleasent Valley Sunday

Greetings my friends! Okay, this is what I am thinking...Sunday will be Writing tip of the week, Monday will be reaper challenge which I will explain on monday's post, tuesday will be story prompt of the week and you will be able to post your replies in the comments or send them to me, wednesday is general writing discussions, thursdays will be movie discussions, friday, well, why not just general discussion, Saturday will work itself out. Sunday!!

So here I am at the end of a pretty good day. I got the ball rolling at church to start teaching the members the joys or writing and marketing work. Turns out there are a lot of members who would like to give it a try. Awesome! Picked up monkey after she got out of work and burned some calories down at the gym, feels good to be able to jog, even if it is on a tread mill right now. The weather is crazy right now, deep into spring and its snowing and sleeting and all sorts of stuff. Anyways, with any luck tomorrow I will start posting a one a day post thing, still trying to make up my mind what I want each day to represent. Have a great on til later!
